Mr. Makino is knowledgeable on patent systems abroad and is able to provide clients with perspectives on Japanese patent practice in comparison with U.S. and European systems.

Hideyuki Isobe, a partner of the firm, represents several multinational clients in prosecution matters and invalidation trials. He specializes in machine engineering technologies, automation control and sensing technologies, and health and entertainment appliances. Mr. Isobe became knowledgeable on patent systems abroad during his career in NGB Corporation. He also handles design patent applications and international trademark applications for his Japanese and international clients.

Chihiro Hayashi represents a number of multinational clients in a wide variety of technologies. She specializes in electric and electronic engineering. Her prosecution practice focuses on electronic devices, semiconductor devices, industrial machines, and car components. She is also knowledgeable about design patents, and is in charge of design patent applications and trademark applications in the firm.

Mitsuhiro Tsuchiya has a considerable amount experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications both in Japan and foreign countries. He specializes in electric and electronic engineering. His prosecution practice focuses on optical technologies, printing technologies, medical equipment, and electronic devices. Ayako Takemura specializes automation control and information processing. She has considerable knowledge and experiences in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of machineries, wireless/wire communication, medical devices and analyzing devices. She has also considerable experiences about preparing and prosecuting vehicle equipment, image processing and software.

Takashi Mitsumata is a Japanese Patent Attorney. He holds a Master of Liberal Arts in a field of Life Sciences. He conducted his undergraduate research in the development of real time measuring system of cell motion, which was published as WO2004/070393A1.
He worked for two Japanese Patent firms for 14 years and worked for NGB Corporation for 6 years, where he handled numerous patent applications in a variety of technologies including Japanese and foreign patents.
He is a member of the Japanese Patent Attorneys Association. He is also a 1st grade Certified Specialist of Intellectual Property Management (in patent) and a Management Consultant of Small and Medium Enterprise, admitted by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. He has pased Fundamental IT Engineer’s Examination administered by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Hiroshi Kobayashi specializes in chemical technologies. He worked for NGB Corporation for four years, where he handled numerous patent applications in a variety of technologies including inorganic and organic materials. He became knowledgeable on patent systems abroad during his career.

Satoko Kimura, of counsel, has considerable knowledge and experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biological technologies. She has specific prior experiences in researching and developing coatings, cosmetic chemicals, and emulsion technologies. She is qualified to represent parties in Court in IP infringement litigation.

Nozomi Morita has a considerable experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications. She specializes in electric and electronic engineering. Her prosecution practice focuses on writing and prosecuting in the area of electronic devices, industrial machines, and medical devices. She has 10-year-experience as a foreign patent experts during her career in NGB Corporation, where she was dispatched to a large US law firm in Washington D.C. as a trainee. Kazuya Saisho specializes in electric and electronic engineering. Prior to working for NGB, Mr. Saisho was an engineer at Canon Corporation, where he designed and tested ASIC for image processing and controller circuit board. He brings
